Call Out : 25th March 2007 - WhangieCentral Scotland Police alerted the Team to a 48 year old woman in trouble whilst walking near the Whangie. She had phoned her partner, waiting in the Queen’s View car park at 17:00, indicating that she had reached the trig point of the Whangie. She then phoned again at 17:51 stating that she was stuck in a bog, had lost her trainers and “couldn’t go on!” No more contact could be made as her mobile had run out of battery.

Fifteen minutes after calling out the team by text, the Police called back to say that a couple of walkers had come across the woman and were proceeding to escort her off the hill. A stand-down text was then sent.

19 team members were enroute.
