Call Out: 30th May 2007 - AberfoyleAt 2109hrs, a call was received from Cobleland Camp Site, Gartmore, that
an 80 years old female, was lost in Loch Ard forest. She
had set out at 1800hrs together with her son for a walk in the forest.
Her son, suffered a minor ankle injury and returned to the
camp site. His mother encouraged him to do so, saying she would continue her walk. When she didn't return, he became concerned and contacted the Police via the camp site office. She had a mobile telephone with her and contact was made by the Police Control Room. From the description of her location the Police had a good idea of where she was located. She was found by the Police at 2224hrs, safe and well, on the a cycle path north of the Corrie aquaduct.
The Lomond MRT were called in to assist. A full-team call-out was initiated and 40 minutes later were stood down. 4 Team members gathered at the initial rendezvous, with others en-route.
