Call Out: 13th Oct: The WhangieThe team was contacted at 7PM by the Police, the casualty was at Queen's View, and the Ambulance Service were already in attendance. They required assistance to evacuate the casualty.
A Call out was initiated. A Land Rover was dispatched from the post and went to the Queens View. Meanwhile a rope, splint and the lightweight McInnes had been collected from the trailer in Blanefield and taken to the Queen's View. Team members made their way to the casualty co-ordinated from the car park.
The casualty was carried off the hill by LMRT, SAS and Police personnel and taken to the Western Infirmary by ambulance. In the car park the paramedic reported the injury as a sprained (query fractured) right ankle, unable to weight bare.
The incident was resolved by 8PM.
