The Team was contacted by Central Scotland Police at 19.15 after a couple on holiday from Leicestershire called for assistance on Ben Venue.
The man and woman were following a route from a walking guide book. With night falling they became uncomfortable on the steepening, craggy ground and decided to return to their car. Disorientated in the dark, and without a map, they became cragfast 900ft above Loch Katrine.
Seventeen members of the Team were dispatched and the missing pair were located at 21.35 and walked off the hill to the sluice gates on Loch Katrine. All Team personnel had returned to control by 23.20.
