Call Out: 16th June 2009 - Ben Venue

The team were contacted by Central Scotland Police at 15.18 requesting help to rescue a 65 year old male who had fallen from the path, about a mile up from Ledard Farm, leading to Ben Venue. A helicopter had been requested from RNAS Gannet, but information was that the casualty was under foliage and not in a good position for winching, so the team was asked to assist.

Whilst the team was en route, the helicopter crew managed to move the casualty to a more favourable position and then winch him to safety. The stand-down text was sent at 15:53.
