Lomond MRT received a call from Central Scotland Police just after 18:00 requesting help to assist two female walkers who had become lost in the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park. Mobile phone contact was made with one of the walkers, who confirmed that they had left David Marshall Lodge at 09:30 and were now by a loch and could see a green boat house and a couple of moored boats and could hear traffic. The call-out text was sent at 18:17 with the RV at David Marshall Lodge.
A lochan to the East of Creag a Bhacain, between Braeval and Loch Venachar was identified as a possible location. One team member was tasked to check this out via Invertrossachs and Callander whilst two team members were tasked to clear Loch Drunkie. Soon after control was set up at DML contact was made with the two walkers and it was learnt that they had been picked up by a car and were being driven round to DML. With the news that the pair were returning to control, the stand-down text at 19:37. Seven team members attended.
