Central Scotland Police Control contacted the Team Leader at 02.37 in response to a request from the Scottish Ambulance Service to help extricate a young woman who had fallen off a bridge in Drymen into a small gulley feature. Given that the 18 year-old casualty had sustained possible injuries to her back, neck and ankle, the two-man ambulance crew wanted help in bringing the casualty out to safety.
In the time between initiating the call-out and the first Lomond MRT members arriving on scene, the casualty had successfully been transferred to the ambulance and the crew were carefully checking the nature of the injuries. The stand-down text was sent at 03.16. The casualty was then taken to Stirling Royal Infirmary for further assessment.
