Call Out: 30-May-2010 (2) - AberfoyleA couple had left their car at David Marshall Lodge, near Aberfolyle, and had crossed the road to go for a walk. Unfortunately the path they chose took them onto steep, loose and slippy ground. They found themselves in a position whereby they could neither proceed or retreat. The team were requested to respond by Central Scotland Police Control as the first call-out of the evening came to a conclusion. The call-out text was sent at 19:51 with the RV at David Marshall Lodge.

The team assembled at David Marshall Lodge, quickly gathered ropes and technical equipment and set off. Very quickly the first team members located the cragfast pair and made their way to them. Once reassured, the couple were roped up and carefully escorted down the slope to safer ground at the foot of the quarry. The pair were recovered unhurt and helped back to their car. The stand-down text was sent at 21:21 with 16 Team members in attendance.
