Call Out: 27th February 2013 (1) - Ochils

The Team received a call from Central Scotland Police requesting support for the Ochils Mountain Rescue Team in searching for a gentleman who was reported missing from Alva. He was last seen about 18:00 and there was concern for his safety. Ochils MRT were at this time already mobilised near Alloa and involved in another search.

The Call-out text was sent at 19:29 with the RV at Ochil’s Rescue Base at Fishcross. Whilst deploying the various search groups - including one group being lifted onto the hills above Alva by RAF SAR Helicopter R131 from RAF Boulmer - news came back that the missing person was in contact with the Police and the incident was declared over. Team members were then diverted to assist Ochils MRT with the incident at Alloa.
