#CallOut West Highland Way

7th April 2014

The Team received an email at 07.37 from a relative of a walker on the West Highland Way. The walker had become separated from their party at night, who were attempting to find Rowchoish Bothy, and had spent the night out in the open. A standby alert was sent out to the team in case a full Call Out was required at 08.04.

Two vehicle teams were tasked to take our Land Rovers into the Bothy, from Rowardennan, and over the hill track to Cailness, North of this point. Rowchoish was in sight when a message arrived, from the missing persons relative, confirming they had met up with their friends at Inversnaid and were planning to travel home from here. Police Scotland officers met the group to confirm that all were in good health.

Three team members proceeded in vehicles with six in reserve if further resources were required. The Stand Down was sent a 09.49.
