#CallOut Campsie Fells

A hill runner was reported missing by his two colleagues, last seen by them at 09.30 in misty conditions on the Campsies. The pair waited until it was clear he was not following them off the hill and contacted the Police. The Police helicopter searched the area for 90 minutes. Finding nothing Lomond MRT were called out at 13.44.

An experienced road runner, the missing person was last spotted near Dumgoyne. Lomond MRT members quickly headed to his last known position, a search dog swept the crags and back-up was sought from Ochils MRT. During the search, at 15.05, Police located the runner at his home and the Team were stood down.

The missing person had lost his way in the mist, ran in a Southerly direction, across the Campsies, and descended into Lennoxtown. Here he picked up a taxi to his home.
