#CallOut The Whangie

12th October 2014

Police Scotland alerted Lomond MRT at 15.32. Soon afterward the call-out text was delivered by text message to the Team.

 

A walker was reported with a fractured ankle at The Whangie, Queen's View, near the Auchineden summit area. SAS paramedics were on scene. 

 

The first Team members reached the location quickly, at 16.08, quickly followed by other team members to assist in the evacuation of the casualty. 

 

The Air Rescue Coordination Centre tasked RAF Rescue 137 to assist and this was at the scene at 16.22. The casualty was packaged ready into a McInnes Mk VII Stretcher and winched into the Sea King using a high line. The RAF left with casualty at 16.42.

 

The Team were stood down at 16.43. Fourteen team members attended.
