#CallOut West Highland Way

Police contacted the Team via SARCALL to inform us that an individual was lost between Rowardennan and Inversnaid. An Austrian walker had become separated from her partner on the West Highland Way and had requested our assistance.

The #CallOut text was sent to the team at 21.36 to rendezvous at the Inversnaid Hotel. On arrival, two team members were sent North and two tasked South along the main path. A small search team was also deployed from Rowardennan, heading North.

Our search party, heading South from Inversnaid, located the missing couple in a tent at 23.10. The couple had 'lost each other' at 13.00 and had contacted Police for assistance at 18.00. They had subsequently found each other later that evening.

Assuring our team members that they were now happy and settled in their tent and no longer needed our assistance their plan was to continue walking along the long distance trail the next day, our members returned to Inversnaid.

Stand down was sent at 23.20. 16 members attended.
