#CallOut Ben Lomond

"Suspected broken ankle . Rowardennan hotel, 45 mins up the trail" After speaking with a walker that phoned the incident in to the Police, we were passed on the grid reference for the casualty (on the main tourist path on Ben Lomond, just short of the kissing gate, below Sron Aonaich)

The call-out text was sent at 10.29.

A fast party set off up the hill to the casualties location. As numbers gathered, a party with appropriate equipment followed. The walker had experienced a lower leg injury that required hospital attention. Quickly packaged up on the stretcher and evacuated to Lomond MRT vehicles at the top of Blairvockie forest track.

In due course, am ambulance arrived and the casualty was taken off to the Forth Valley Hospital.

The stand down was sent at 13.37. Nine team members attended. Thank you also to the members of the public who assisted the casualty on the hill.
